Three arrests made during Charlottesville rally anniversary

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Police have arrested three individuals inside and in proximity to the security area in downtown Charlottesville on Saturday.

According to a release by the City of Charlottesville, Akgenon F. Cain, 28, of Red Springs, N.C., was arrested for trespassing on two separate occasions by Virginia State Police. Authorities say Cain is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.

Also, police arrested John P. Miska, 64, of Albemarle County, Va. for possession of prohibited items during Charlottesville rally anniversary events. Officers say he went inside of a business and purchased razors.

William E. Hawkins Jr., 53, of Amelia, Va. was also arrested. Police say he was drunk in public and taken into custody after failing a field sobriety test. He is currently being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
