Sex offender turns himself in, State Police searching for two more from Amherst County

AMHERST CO., Va. (WDBJ7) UPDATE:

Danny Ray Campbell has turned himself in to Virginia State Police.

The search continues for Elizabeth Jane Gilbert and Steven Howard Trent.

ORIGINAL:

The Virginia State Police Sex Offender Unit (VSP SOIU) is searching for three convicted sex offenders who are registered, but no longer living at their individual homes in Amherst County.

All three are wanted for failing to re-register as a sex offender.

The three people include:
-Danny Ray Campbell (60)
-Elizabeth Jane Gilbert (54)
-Steven Howard Trent (61)

Campbell is currently registered as living on West Perch Road, but the SOIU has not been able to make contact with him there in several months.

Gilbert was previously registered as living on Johns Creek Road, but has not lived there in several months. She also has ties to the Portsmouth and Virginia Beach areas.

Trent was previously registered as living on South Coolwell Road, but is no longer living there.
