Trespassers caught picking flowers at site of Buchanan sunflower festival

BUCHANAN, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Trespassers were caught picking flowers from the fields at Beaver Dam Farm overnight, according to a post made by the farm's Facebook page.

The post claims the trespassers ripped flowers from the ground and were about to walk out with them, until someone from the farm showed up on the property.

The trespassers were charged the festival admission fee and were asked to pay for the flowers, before being asked to leave the farm.

"They could have been charged with trespassing and destruction of property. Please think before entering someone else’s property, you wouldn’t like it if they did that to you, and we don’t either. And it’s incidents like this that ruin it for others," the post read.
