Trucking company backs out of plans for Roanoke County terminal
The head of a company that planned to bring a 24/7 trucking terminal to Roanoke County said they've changed their minds.
Lindor Trucking was looking to buy a piece of property in the 51 block of Hollins Road.
The owners intended to build a 20,000-square-foot facility for a rest point, maintenance shop and refueling station. But now those plans have been tabled.
Leaders at Lindor told WDBJ7 Friday the project would have been costly and difficult and they received intense pushback from neighbors.
They say they've found a better location outside the county, but declined to confirm where.
