Two dead, one injured in a shooting at Eden Avenue

ROANOKE Co., Va. Two people were killed and one injured after an incident in Roanoke County early Tuesday night, Roanoke County Police confirm.

Russell Edghill, age 66, was pronounced dead on the scene when police arrived, investigators said.

Russell Edghill's wife, Lynda Edghill, age 60, was injured from a gunshot wound and was transferred to a hospital.

The shooter, Harry Overstreet, age 58, was dead on scene of arrival after he shot himself.

Police are still investigating what was the reasoning behind the shooting.

Roanoke County Police stated that there were multiple calls dating back 10 years related to the Edghill and Overstreet family regarding dogs barking and dogs that were on the loose.
