UPDATE: Roanoke police identify man fatally shot on Thanksgiving
Roanoke police have identified the man who was shot and killed on Thanksgiving in the 200 block of Liberty Road.
Morgan Nino Stamper-Dizon, 19, of Roanoke, was pronounced dead at the hospital the day of the shooting.
Roanoke police have also identified the man who was shot in the 1600 block of Eastern Avenue NE on the same day as Evgeniy Aleksander Prokopchak, 20, of Roanoke.
Prokopchak was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. Prokopchak's condition is unclear.
Officials are continuing to investigate the shootings as being potentially related.

Around Noon Thursday, Roanoke Police responded to the 1600 block of Eastern Avenue NE to investigate a report of a shooting. When they got there, officers located one adult male victim. He had apparent gunshot wounds and was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. While at the scene, officers developed information that the incident was possibly a home invasion and the victim might have shot one of the suspect(s) who had left the scene by the time officers arrived.
15 minutes later, officers were called to the corner of Kennedy Street NE and Liberty Road NE where an adult male was found with a gunshot wound outside of a home. Witnesses told officers two other individuals who were with him ran away before officers got there. He was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The man's identity will be released after proper notifications have been made.
Police are still investigating to see if both incidents were related. No arrests have been made in either incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the RPD tip line at 540-344-8500.
Police found two people shot in separate locations earlier today in Roanoke.
The Police Department was called to the scene at around 12 p.m. to the 1600 block of Eastern Ave NE.
When crews arrived at the scene they found one victim with a gunshot wound and the suspect(s) had fled the scene.
The victim was then transported to Roanoke Carilion Clinic.
Police said that approximately 15 minutes later a call went out in reference to the corner of Kennedy and Liberty Rd NE about an individual suffering from a gunshot wound.
This victim was also taken to the hospital.
Officers are still at the scene.
Police say the incidents may be related, but the investigation is ongoing.
