BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Students at a school in Montgomery County had a special Hokie visitor Friday afternoon that's made it to the NFL.
Tyrod Taylor, the current quarterback for the Cleveland Browns visited Gilbert Linkous Elementary School.
Students in third grade through fifth grade quizzed the former Virginia Tech quarterback.
They asked him about his love of football and his favorite foods which used to be macaroni and cheese, now it's and salmon.
"We welcome the opportunity to for our children to just have that opportunity to meet a star athlete to see where hard work can take them and to just to see that real life example," said Carol Slonka, the school's principal.
Taylor also stayed for pictures and autographs with the students and gave away headphones and t-shirts.
He did not do interviews with local media.
