LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- UPDATE:
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office has charged several juveniles in connection to a burglary and an attempted burglary at Lynchburg Arms & Shooting Range.
Authorities say just after 5:00 a.m. early Monday morning deputies responded to an alarm at Lynchburg Arms.
When they arrived on scene, they saw three people run from the side of building, and two other people sitting in a car nearby.
It was the same van that was confirmed stolen from Lynchburg, and believed to have been used at a previous burglary at Lynchburg Arms.
The two people inside the van were arrested.
The three other people who ran away were found a short time later by deputies and state troopers.
Further investigation resulted in the arrests of four juveniles in connection with the attempted burglary as well as a burglary on July 20th.
Authorities say two of those juveniles were involved in both incidents.
Two stolen handguns belonging to Lynchburg Arms have been recovered.
Deputies are still investigating, and more arrests are expected.
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Lynchburg Police Department, has identified a vehicle used in the burglary of the Lynchburg Arms & Shooting Range on Sunburst Road.
The vehicle is a burgundy 2001 Dodge Caravan.
It was stolen from the Fort Avenue area of Lynchburg on July 18th and found on July 20th near the intersection of Wise and 16th Streets.
If you have any information on the vehicle, give police a call.
Two rewards are now being offered for information that could lead to arrests in the case of an overnight break-in at a Campbell County gun shop.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Campbell County Sheriff's Office, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) have announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for the theft of firearms from Lynchburg Arms and Indoor range.
ATF is offering a reward in the amount of $2,500, which will be matched by the NSSF, for a total reward of $5,000.
Campbell County deputies have released surveillance video of the break-in. It shows four people peeling back a security gate and entering the front door of the business.
An employee confirmed to WDBJ7 that there was a break-in at the Lynchburg Arms and Indoor Shooting Range. The employee says four people broke into the business around 3 a.m.
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
Investigators on the scene say multiple guns were taken, including hand guns and semi-automatic rifles.
WDBJ7 is currently working to get surveillance video of the suspects.
