(WDBJ7)-- The Virginia Department of Conservation has announced that a future expansion plan for Smith Mountain Lake State Park will be unveiled at the end of September.
The proposed additions to the grounds will include a 60-site campground, 10 cabins, a new multipurpose paved trail, a revamping of the park entrance and a new picnic area.
The meeting will be public, and will start at 6 pm, September 30 at the Smith Mountain Lake State Park visitor center (1235 State Park Road, Huddleston).
