The Medical Examiner confirmed Joyce was shot while in a car on Route 220 in Henry County.

Investigators believe her boyfriend, Jalen Milner, shot her before killing himself.

Both were dead when police found them inside a crashed Nissan Altima.

"If you're in some type of relationship, no matter how old you are, no matter who you are, speak to someone, no matter if you are afraid; speak," said Tilphanie Joyce, Na'Jada's mother.

According to her obituary, Joyce was a 2018 graduate of Magna Vista High School, and a current student at Patrick Henry Community College when she died.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 18.
