Virginia State Police investigating fatal crash in Rockbridge County

Virginia State Police are investigating a vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality in Rockbridge County.
According to State Police, the crash occurred at 1:46 p.m. on Dec. 16 on Old Buena Vista Road, one mile west of Route 608.
Police say a 2005 Saturn Relay was traveling west on Old Buena Vista Road when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
The Saturn was driven by Lois Marie Benson, 75, of Fairfield, Va. Police say Benson was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
