Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center to provide co-working environment

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7)— The Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center is getting ready to remodel a work space for local entrepreneurs called COgro.

Based on the trend the CRC sees in our area, they decided it’s time to start a co-working space for people from different companies to lease whatever it is they need to collaborate with one another.

Chief Operating Officer Dawn Myers said they want to help the companies grow and focus on their businesses and research.

“Our hope is that we are going to give them the starting ground that will allow them to move into the CRC into a space that we have available for them and grow their company,” Myers said.

In addition to having this work space, those who use it will have access to other amenities the CRC provides like free parking, mail service and free Wi-Fi.

Construction will begin in September and the space will open in October. If you are interested in leasing a space, you’re asked to contact Dawn Myers at dawn.myers@vtcrc.com or 540-808-5024.
