SUFFOLK, VA (WWBT) - A Suffolk nurse is $7 million richer after scoring big in a Virginia Lottery scratch-off ticket.
Eartha Ivey won $7 million after purchasing a winning ’100X The Money’ ticket from Dollar Delites, located in the 6500 block of Hampton Roads Parkway in Suffolk.
Ivey said she purchased from the particular store, because big winners were sold there in the past.
Ivey had the choice of taking the full $7 million over 30 years, or a one-time cash options of $4.2 million before taxes. She chose the cash option.
The store also received a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Ivey said she plans to take care of her family with the money.
‘100X The Money’ features prizes ranging from $30 to the $7 million top prize.
