Weather causes damage to buildings, cars and trees in Craig County

CRAIG COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Severe weather has caused damage to a few parts of our area this evening.

According to Jeffrey Huffman of the Craig County Sheriff's Office, severe weather has caused damage near Hawkins Lane in New Castle. Huffman says the damage has been confined to "maybe a quarter of a mile".

Huffman says there has been roof damage, cars flipped over as well as tree damage. It is unknown if the cause of this damage was due to a tornado or just high winds.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
