Woman dies after injuries from Roanoke vehicle crash at end of August

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7)-- A woman has died from injuries sustained in a vehicle crash August 31 in the 2000 block of 10th Street NW.

According to Roanoke Police, officers were dispatched to the scene and found three people. Michelle Dimassimo, 47, of Roanoke was lying on the ground near the vehicle and was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

According to police, she died September 9.

The two men were outside the vehicle and had no suspected injuries.

The vehicle has been traveling south on 10th Street NW. The victim was not driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.

No arrests have been made and this case remains an active investigation.
