The Salem Spartans were fired up before the game, and it showed early.

Isaiah Persingers takes it 16 yards into the endzone to cap the Spartans opening drive, putting them up 7 to 0.

After the Spartan Defense forces the Hilltoppers off the field, they go back to Persinger who breaks away for a 41 yard touchdown, pushing the Salem lead to 14 in the 2nd quarter.

The Hilltoppers would lay down as DreShaun Kendrick dances around and puts the ball up for Marquis Woodruff as he Mosses the Spartan defender for the touchdown, bringing Glass within 7.

After a failed 4th down converson, Kendrick makes the most of the short field as he scrambles his way to the endzone, to tie the game up at 14.

On the next Spartan possession, Ky'Juan Brown comes away with a pick, that leads to a Hilltopper field goal making it 17-14 Hilltoppers going into the half.

Salem would come out the half with a haymaker, as Persinger takes the hand off 81 yards down the field on the first play of the 2nd half. Putting Salem back on top 21 to 17

The lead would last long as Kendrick gets out of the pocket and connects with Mack Johnson who turns on the burners for a 65 yard touchdown, the Hilltoppers would go back up 24-21.

On the kick-off, Shawn Collins breaks a few tackles, stays on his feet in bounds, and brought the kick-off 99 yards to the crib for the lead, and Salem would not look back from there

Persinger brought the ball in to secure the W as Salem wins 35 to 24.
