Abingdon at Northside

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Northside sat at 7-3, and the Falcons at 5-5 before Friday's contest.

Early on, the Vikings on the move down 7-nothing, but Sidney Webb coughs up the pigskin and Abingdon's Eli Ratcliff is there to fall on it. The Falcons give it right back. Cole Lambert puts it up but the ball gets tipped and intercepted by the Vikings Cameron Abshire to set Northside up.

Five plays later Webb calls his own number on the keeper and he scoots 18 yards for the touchdown and it's all tied up at 7-apiece.

Northside took the lead early in the second quarter. The pitch to Christian Fisher and he's got reservations for six. Fisher motors 60 big yards on the touchdown and the Vikings led it 14-7.

Abingdon wouldn't go away though. Jadon Boothe to the air and the endzone where Peyton McClanahan hauls it in on the great catch for the score.

The back and forth continued later as Quentin Slash gets the call on the jet sweep and he's off to the races. Slash turns on the jets and finds the zone. Northside led 28-14 at the half and the Vikings are moving on with the 48 to 28 win.
