Albemarle at Patrick Henry

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- The Patrick Henry Patriots were after their first playoff win in 25 years Friday night hosting Albemarle in yet another rematch from the regular season.

Patrick Henry took the ball first and came out throwing the rock. Roy Gunn showed off the arm with a big pass down the sidelines, just off the fingertips of Trace Pedigo.

The Patriots would shake the rust off and go right back to the air as Gunn scrambles and is able to find Tashawn Webb for the 30 yard TD pass and PH was up 7-0 early.

Now, late in the 1st, the Patrick Henry defense stepping up as Nick Johnson strips Albemarle's Jacob King and Elijah Davis is there to fall on it, giving the home team good field position.

Still 7-0 when Gunn goes back to the air to find Trace Pedigo wide open for the 71 yards pitch-and-catch, and it's 14-0.

Gunn wasn't done yet, finding Jalen Cook for a big 3rd down conversion to move the sticks. Cook finishing off the drive with a 7 yard TD run. It was all Patrick Henry with the score 21-0. The Patriots knock out Albemarle 56 to 14.
