The Brackman Cup was up for grabs again tonight in Covington where the Cougars hoped to keep the Cup away from Alleghany for another season.

Covington got the crowd going early by winning the toss and taking the ball first.

The first play of the game Shaun Smith takes the pitch left and runs for 20 yards and a big opening statement on how the 1st quarter would go.

It worked so well they do the same play again only to the right this time and Smith picks up 10 yards and another first down.

The drive ends with Smith scoring from 5 yards out and the Cougars are up 7-0.

Smith had a big night on D as well, with the big tackle in the backfield on Alleghany's QB Brian Broughman.

After forcing a 3-and-out Covington went to the AIR with a nice catch by Hunter Smith for 25 yards. They capped the drive with another TD run by Shaun Smith and The cougars were cruising with a 14-0 lead in the First.

They went on to win 47-33.
