ELLISTON, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Auburn was on the road at Eastern Montgomery Thursday night as the Eagles tried to get to 3 and 1 to start the season.
Auburn on top 14 to nothing on the road.
Early in the third quarter, the Eagles quarterback Paison Kelly turns the corner and motors past the defense, stretching for the goal line and the touchdown. Auburn was up 20 to nothing.
Then in the fourth, Carter Brockman rips off the nice run. He's down at the one but Auburn punched it in a play later.
The Eagles Carson East then stepped up and makes the play for the interception. That play basically sealed it despite the fumble out of bounds.
East Mont's Dylan Owens had this nifty little completion to Daniel Crawford but it wasn't nearly enough as Auburn won it 27 to nothing over East Mont.
