The Brookville Bees nearly pulled a big upset off Lord Botetourt last week. Friday night Jon Meeks and his team were at Patrick Henry, a place where they won 52 to 0 a year ago.

The Bees trying to make a statement on defense to start the 2nd half.

Anthony McDougall with a big tackle for a loss on Jalen Cook and getting his bench fired-up.

But Patrick Henry kept plugging. Roy Gunn hooking up with Trace Pedigo for a huge 1st down early in the 3rd quarter.

Later in that same drive, Cook won't be stopped in the backfield anymore as he takes the handoff and runs 25 yards for the Patriots TD and it was 21-7 home team.

It was then the Patriots turn to play stellar defense with half the Patrick Henry defensive line making a 3rd down stop on the pitch play.

And then they go back to work on offense with nice pass from Gunn to Pedigo one more time. The drive stalled out though as the Bees force a fumble and Daquan Calloway scoops it up and nearly takes it to the house.

Brookville QB Jarad Glinski then throws a perfect strike to Zach Thompson for 22 yards and the Score. The Bees trailed 21-13 early in the fourth. Patrick Henry finishes strong knocking off Brookville, avenging last season's loss 28-21 the final.
