Threat of severe weather forces change of start time and coverage of The Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WDBJ7) -- Due to the threat of severe weather, Masters Tournament officials have announced that the final round will begin at 7:30 a.m. CBS/WDBJ7 coverage of the tournament will start at 9 a.m. and will continue through about 2 p.m.

The unusual change will cause CBS Sunday Morning and Face the Nation to be pre-empted.

According to reports, officials did not want to have to carry the tournament on past Sunday.

The leaders in the tournament will tee off in the final grouping at 9:20 a.m.
