Salem, VA The Salem Spartans tuned up for next week's showdown with Dinwiddie, by making short work of Franklin County in Friday's home opener.
Coach Magenbauer was looking for career win number 151 Friday night against the Eagles.
The Spartans went for it on 4th and 9 early in the game and Jack Gladden went up top for Luke Owen.
Owen hauled it in down inside the Eagles 20 yard line.
DeAngelo Ramsey then did the honors from there. He sprinted in on the 14 yard TD run and the two point conversion made it 8-zip Spartans.
Gladden went back to work a little later. He found Avery Close down the middle for another big gain to put Salem on the doorstep again.
Tae Hale then tok it over on the short TD and it was 15-nothing at the half.
Owen had a big night. Early in the third he rips off the 39 scoring gallop. Salem takes out Franklin County 42 to 0/
