APPOMATOX, Va. (WDBJ7) -- The Appomattox Raiders were fired up tonight, hoping to punch a ticket to the regional finals,
and on the first drive, Christian Ferguson takes the ball right up the middle and breaks free for a long run to the endzone, putting the Raiders up early 7 to 0.
On the next Raiders possession Ferguson brush off a few tackles for another long run to moving the ball in Highlander territory.
That sets up a short run into the endzone for Tre Lawing, as he extends the Raider lead 14 to 0.
But Glenvar would comeback firing through the air, Aiden Wolk connects with Jebediah Secrist, then hooks up with Nicholas Seabolt for two consecutive first downs, but the Raiders defense had enough, as Jordan Scott picks it off and takes the ball all the way into Highlander territory, but the Raiders would make nothing of it.
Glenvar would go back to the air on their next possesion. As Wolk makes the pass to Seabolt for a first down, but on the next play, Wolk would over throw his reciever and Tez Booker comes way with the pick.
The Raiders go on to win 21 to 0.
