ROANOKE COUNTY, VA (WDBJ7) -- Hidden Valley and Glenvar got the high school football weekend party started early on Thursday night.

Both teams were trying to bounce back after losses last week.

Midway through the second quarter the Titans got on the board as Grayson Carroll went up top for Tyler McDaniel in the endzone-- a 19 yard touchdown.

They missed the extra point so it was 6-nothing.

How about some defense? Silas Fitzgerald with some pressure and he got credit for a sack to kill a Glenvar drive.

Hidden Valley tried to take advantage but Nathanael Valentine coughed it up at the end of a tough run and Glenvar's Colby Street fell on it for the Highlanders to keep it 6-nothing at the half.

The Titans struck again early in the third. Caroll bought some time and then put it up for Jacob Pardon.

He was behind the defense, and he was gone on a 79 yard touchdown.

Hidden Valley went on to beat Glenvar 19 to 7 the final.
