Hokies Win Season Opener At Clemson, 67-60

Mike Young spent three decades coaching in the state of South Carolina. But he'd never beaten Clemson in that time. Tuesday night he was back in the Palmetto State to take on the Tigers making his debut as Virginia Tech Head Coach in the season opener. Redshirt freshman Landers Nolley led the Hokies with 30 points in his debut, the most every by a Tech player in his first game in a Hokie uniform. Wabissa Bede had a key assist and blocked shot late as Tech knocked off the Tigers 67-60, earning Young his 300th career victory.
