BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) -- Virginia Tech's Justin Robinson is the ACC Player of the Week following his career high 35 points in the win over Syracuse Saturday night. Robinson also became the school's all time assist leader with 548 and set a new single game record with 9 three point baskets against the Orange.
The Hokies are number 12 in the AP Poll this week, 11th in the Coaches Poll after splitting games with Syracuse and North Carolina.
A crucial week lies ahead with a trip to Miami Wednesday night followed by a visit to NC State on Saturday afternoon.
"Our team has continued to morph into a mature, smart team. We don't always execute it. This is the hardest league in the country with the thinnest margin. It's hard to win a game. It doesn't matter the opponent. North Carolina beat us from start to finish. Virginia beat us from start to finish so any win for sure, is a good win," Virginia Tech Head Coach Buzz Williams said.
