James River at Radford and Hidden Valley at Blacksburg

RADFORD, Va. and BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- James River and Radford met in a possible playoff preview tonight while Blacksburg tried to stay unbeaten against Hidden Valley.

Cats looking to slay the Knights on Homecoming in Radford.

Pick things up, Bobcats ball, 1Q, the Soph. Zane Rupe, drops back, looking for an option...and a nice catch by Trace Shepherd. Sets up Radford for a scoring chance, right at the goal line...Rupe dives forward for the easy score...Bobcats take a 7-0 lead.

Later in the 2Q, Radford driving again...Rupe again wants to air it out...he's going deep...and he's got his man Justice Marshall for a big gain...

Then it's Rupe...little shuttle pass to PJ Prioleau who's got the corner...makes a couple guys miss...and he is gone...a flag called that one back, but Radford scored later in the drive and rolled on for its sixth straight win, 31-13 over James River.

To Blacksburg now, where QB Grant Johnston's Bruins looking to stay unbeaten against Hidden Valley...

Bruins led 19-zip at the half...Hidden Valley needing to make something happen, 3rd Q,..and they're going to go deep...and it is hauled in, Gavin McCormick...breaking tackles, finally taken down...just what the doctor ordered for the Titans...

But a drive that took up half the 3Q ends in a turnover on downs...Blacksburg takes over...

19-point lead, looking to add on...Johnston wants to throw it...he does, deep down the field...Thomas Coffey hauls it in...Blacksburg set up nicely..

But the Bruins had their own red zone troubles, as Blacksburg turns it over on downs as well.

Still 19-0...but later in the 4th, I was still running to catch up..Hidden Valley's punt is blocked..picked up by the Bruins...and Joshua Gholston plants the dagger and you can kiss this one goodnight.

Blacksburg beats Hidden Valley, 26-7. Bruins are 9-0 heading into their off week before Christiansburg awaits.
