Lord Botetourt was at William Fleming Friday night, where they named the track for former track coach Sherley Stuart, and the field for former football coach George "Killa" Miller.
Botetourt was on the move early. The Cavs gave it to Evan Eller who ran off tackles and had plenty of room outrunning the defense on his way to the first of 6 TD's on the night.
It was 7-0 Botetourt.
Later, Lawon Jones put it up for the Colonels. He got Daequan Nichols in the endzone and Fleming was hanging tough.
Then it was Jones to the air again. This time he found Seaquan Bannister for another score and Botetourt led just 14-12.
But James Ryan Salvi was on the option pitch to Hunter Rice and he knew where he was headed: to the endzone for the score.
Botetourt won a wild one over Fleming 68 to 26, clinching their first Blue Ridge District crown since 1984.
