ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) -- Last season, the Lord Botetourt girls fell to Abingdon in the regional final, only to recover in time to win the school's first state title. On Monday, they got another shot at a regional trophy against a scrappy Magna Vista team.

To Hidden Valley we go for the Region 3D title tilt.

The Warriors up for the challenge early. It's Kayla Cabiness draining a three ball from the left wing as the Warriors dug into a 9-2 deficit.

Then how about Tanaisha (Tuh-nay-sia) Hairston who puts in the runner along the baseline and the LB lead was just two at the half.

In the second half, they turn it on. Miette Veldman to Meredith Wells who drains the three with just 5 and a half minutes left for a 9 point cushion.

Then it's Veldman cleaning up the Brooklyn Shelton miss. Veldman had a game high 29 points and 24 rebounds.

She then gets it over to Wells who feeds Scottie Cook down low for two. Botetourt made just enough free throws late to win it 48-41, taking home the regional title.
