Lord Botetourt girls win Blue Ridge District volleyball championship

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) -- The Blue Ridge District girl's volleyball tournament wrapped up Tuesday evening, with William Byrd looking to upset the two-time defending state champs in Lord Botetourt.

In the first set, on a match point for the Cavaliers, Byrd's Chloe Harrilla made a nice dig to save it, but the kill by Parker Hudson sealed set one for LB, 25-14.

In the second set, the Terriers were trying to stave off another match point for the Cavaliers, but Annelise Wolfe had other plans. LB took set two, 25-12.

It was more of the same in the third set. A miss-hit by the Terriers sealed their fate. Lord Boteourt swept William Byrd in straight sets to lock down the Blue Ridge district championship, 25-14, 25-12, 25-11.
