Northside at Cave Spring

CAVE SPRING, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Northside and Cave Spring were both in bounce back mode this week following week one road losses.

The Knights elected to start on defense. It was a smart decision as Northside struggled to run the ball early. The Vikings then went into their bag of tricks with a double reverse. Cave Spring wasn't fooled at all as Ethan Coats gets blocked hard on the play but gets right back up and recovers the fumble.

The Knights finally get going on offense as QB Lucas Duncan calls his own number and he's off running down the sidelines for a 59 yard TD. The extra point was blocked so it's 6-0 Cave Spring.

The Vikings start a good drive off their own in the 2nd quarter, but on fourth and 6, Sidney Webb's pass gets knocked away in the endzone by Duncan.

But Northside gets aggressive in the passing game as Webb finds Cameron Abshire for a first down.

Then it was Christian Fisher with some nifty moves as he runs for a 20 yard TD. The Vikings had the 7-6 lead and they went on to post the 37-13 win, their 8th in a row over the Knights.
