DALEVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7)-- Picking this one up in the third, Lord Botetourt scored a touchdown to make it 12-0 and decided to go for two. Hunter Rice got the call and brought it to the air to give the Cavaliers a two-touchdown lead.

Northside was hungry to answer, with Christian Fisher doing the work off tackle, slipping defenders on his way to a Viking first down.

It was fourth and seven when quarterback Sidney Webb doesn't have the time to pass so he squirts out of the pocket and gets just enough to move the chains.

Fourth and four now for Northside, Webb with plenty of time, finds his tight end Zach Horton who makes a nice grab to keep the drive alive.

Another fourth down from inside the one, and they go back to Fisher who punches through to put Northside on the board late in the 3rd, 14-7.

Moving on with the ensuing drive, Lord Botetourt faced a fourth and short, and used their workhorse Hunter Rice who carried the ball hard all night for more than 200 yards.

The drive was in danger on yet again a fourth-down, James-Ryan Salvi goes to the air for Xavier Stephens but Northside's Quentin Slash steps up on the big defensive stop and brings a turnover on downs.

Fisher got shaken up on the previous play, so Horton was in the backfield for a few plays including a hard-fought first down run, but the Vikings would face fourth down and seven a few snaps later.

Webb running for his life around the pocket, throws as he's tackled but a few Lord Botetourt defenders are able to swat it away and seal the victory. The Cavaliers remain undefeated in a close one tonight 14-7.
