It was a rematch of the Regional finals in 2018 when Botetourt won big.

Lord Botetourt wasted no time this year. James Ryan Salvi on thirdd down launched one to a streaking Kyle Arnholt for about a 40 yard gain, and capped off a 70-yard opening drive with a run, leading the Cavs to go up 7-0 quick.

Northside now on their opening drive, Sidney Webb floated one to Zach Horton but Xavier Stephens came flying in from the left side of your screen to punch it out and LB recovers on the Vikings 20!

Moving forward two minutes, Hunter Rice plows his way in for 6 more, and Lord Botetourt jumped to a 14-0 lead.

Another Botetourt possession and another Rice breakaway for over 30 yards, then a few plays later he caps off another TD drive, 21-0 LB.

Coach Jamie Harless was loving the big lead but he knows there's two more quarters.

Northside is also well aware, as Quentin Slash picked off Salvi and the Vikings had a motor.

Webb then being chased all over the field but somehow found Camerson Abshire who set up Webb for a 30 yard touchdown run as he's able to slip a number of tacklers to give even more life to Northside, 24-8.

After an onside kick recovery, Northside is in business again, 4th quarter, Webb to the air this time finds Issac Earls who beats the defender for another Viking score! They would go for two and get it, 24-16 for the one score game.

Lord Botetourt lined up for a 40-yard field goal, Terran Baker bangs it through, but a flag would fly, personal foul, roughing the kicker on Northside, first down Botetourt.

That lead to another Hunter Rice score, his third on the night as the Cavaliers held strong during the Viking come back to get the win 31-23.
