BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- In Blacksburg where the Bruins have set the bar in the first five weeks, trying to stay unbeaten Friday night against Patrick Henry.
At Bill Brown Stadium, Blacksburg quarterback Grant Johnston gets the party started as he throws a long bomb to wide receiver Karim Mohamed for the first touchdown of the game.
Patrick Henry answers with Roy Gunn as he fires back deep to Leroy Thomas. That setup a Patrick Henry touchdown to tie things at 7 apiece.
But Blacksburg coming right back the other way as Johnston connects with Tiquest Terry on the quick hitter and Terry does the rest dancing in for another 7 points.
And from there Blacksburg just widened the gap. Running back Brian Mitchell powers though to the end zone to make it 21-7.
The Bruins remain among the ranks of the unbeaten with the 28 to 7 win.
