Rockbridge at Spotswood

PENN LAIRD, Va. (WDBJ7) -- The Wildcats were blown out by the Blazers 55-10 in the regular season meeting, and Spotswood entered confident they could do it again.

On the second play of the game, they proved they were right. QB Ryan High threw a short pass to Robert Smith, who brings it around the end and runs 70 yards for the touchdown.

Rockbridge tries to answer, but a pass from Miller Jay finds Spotswood's Cole Myers instead of Luke Mayr.

So the Blazers give it to Ethan Barnhart, who makes it 14 to nothing in minutes.

Then it was a long toss from High to Ryan Shonk for another score before the first quarter ended.

They had a lot to cheer for in the Spotswood stands as the game continued, as even the second quarter began with Benjamin Conahan diving in to march the score up to 28 nothing.

And then the third quarter brough a 42-yard run by Ethan Barnhart.

In the end, it was 42 - 0, Spotswood.
