Last season Blacksburg beat EC Glass 21-6 in the second round of the playoffs. The two met again with a trip to the state semis on the line Friday.

Region final in Christiansburg, it's the dynamic duo of Dresean Kendrick and Ty Foster for EC Glass and the undefeated Blacksburg Bruins for the right to move on the the state semifinals.

A cold night here in Christiansburg and even the refs were feeling it.

First quarter this is Grant Johnston to Karim Mohamed for a first down and the bruins are driving.

Very next play it's Johnston to his favorite target Tiquest Terry for the 31 yard score and the bruins open up the scoring making it 7-0.

But the Hilltoppers have a dynamic offense of their own, this is Kendrick dancing his way for a first down and they are driving.

But on fourth and goal from the two the go for it and get stopped in the backfield Blacksburg defense holds and it's a turnover on downs huge play.

That Hilltopper defense came right back and made a play though sacking Johnston here on third down to force a punt.

Second quarter this is ty foster getting the handoff and watch the He-Man go to work, bowling over tacklers and then when he's done let's you know he's scrong then we scrong then first down.

Coach Woody would let his running back finish the drive here from five yards out that's a score tie ball game at seven.

Bruins driving in the second, Johnston loading up and firing deep down the sideline and there is Thomas Coffey for the catch but he is laid out, he would leave the game but return. First down Blacksburg.

Johsnton again here this time he pitches to Brian Mitchell and Mitchell takes it for a first down, here comes the Bruins inside the 10.

Johnston again now from the eight calls his own number and look at the pump fake and then the dive to the pylon, he gets in and the Bruins take a 14-7 lead at the half.

Third quarter Bruins trying to put it away. Guys I am starting to run out of adjectives to describe Tiquest Terry so let's just sit back and watch as he takes this to the house to make it a 21-7 game.

Ya he's good at football but you know who else is good, Dresean Kendrick, tudder makes it a one score game and back and forth we go.

But the dagger, the very next offensive play for Blacksburg, Brian Mitchell says give me the rock, and I'm taking it 80 yards to the house, picks up a couple of blocks to help that makes it 28-14.

Terry would add another touchdown to make the final 35-14, Blacksburg is moving on to the semis, a great season for E.C. Glass ends in the region finals.
