SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) -- Just one week after Virginia won the national championship, a man with a front row seat to their incredible journey shared his perspective with the Roanoke Valley Sports Club.
You may know Jimmy Miller as one of the voices of the Wahoos. He serves as the color analyst alongside Dave Koehn on the UVA basketball network. But his history with UVA dates back to the last Final Four appearance in 1984, as one of the members of that team.
35 years later, he's still a part of the team.
"I knew that this team would be special. Going into the beginning of the year, I couldn't have told you they would end up going to a Final Four, but I could tell you they were preparing and working very hard to move into that direction. I saw many practices where the attention to detail, the sacrifice, the dedication, the blood, sweat and tears that everybody contributed to the effort. It allowed me to sit back and try to be objective but at the same time, I was cheering for those guys as much as anybody," Miller said.
