Virginia Tech men's basketball falls to Notre Dame, 64-56

SOUTH BEND, In. (WDBJ7/AP)-- The Hokies could not leave South Bend with a win Saturday, falling to the Fighting Irish, 65-56.

P.J. Horne led the way for the Hokies with 14 points while Wabissa Bede gave out 5 assists.

T.J. Gibbs scored 22 points in what could have been his final home game for Notre Dame. Gibbs, one of three departing players who were saluted before the Purcell Pavilion fans, hit 7 of 12 shots, including 5 of 8 from 3-point range.

Virginia Tech falls to 16-15 on the year.
