Tree sitters in Montgomery County continued their protest against the Mountain Valley Pipeline, days after a judge ordered them to come down. Law enforcement officers visited the site near Elliston on Friday morning, but so far they haven’t moved in to evict the tree sitters.
When the pandemic hit, Larry Schoff got busy, helping the non-profit organization enCircle and helping to feed the people it serves. With support from members of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Christiansburg, Schoff and his wife Ally shop for bargains, and then deliver their bounty every couple of weeks.
Friday marked the last day of in person instruction for students at Virginia Tech and Radford University. Students are preparing to travel home for Thanksgiving and will not return again until January.
