A tribute to Johnny Cash will raise money for an organization that pursues “the power of sound through live events that support access to music therapy, hearing loss advocacy, and accessibility initiatives.”
The Lynchburg man had been charged with maliciously setting fire to wood, fence, grass, straw or similar material capable of spreading fire on land, as well as arson involving a vehicle.
The senators say the funding will allow Virginia to support the adoption of more energy efficient vehicles and to continue the transition to a transportation system with a lower impact on the environment.
The group says they have helped coordinate funding and volunteer labor as residents have worked through the process of dealing with not only the damage to their homes, but also the sometimes-complicated work of dealing with local, state and federal government entities.
