BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - The Baylor women’s basketball team beat the Virginia Tech women 75-72 Sunday in the second round of the women’s NCAA Tournament.
The fifth seeded Lady Bears will now go on to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2021. This comes after Hokies star Liz Kitley was forced out of the tournament by an ACL injury in the regular season finale.
Jada Walker scored a career-high 28 points in the game. Matilda Ekh finished with 19 points, while Georga Amoore and Clara Strack each had 18 points. Strack was once again filling in for All-American Kitley.
