Homicide suspect wanted in Danville

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - The Danville Police Department has identified Jaelynn Lowen, 21, of Danville as a suspect in a Thursday homicide.

A reported shooting happened outside the Airport Mart Exxon at 12:41 p.m. Thursday along South Boston Rd.

Pinakin Patel, 47, who is associated with the store, was found in the parking lot with gunshot wounds, Danville Police said.

Patel was taken to SOVAH Danville, where he was pronounced dead.

Lowen is still on the run and is wanted for second-degree murder and use of firearm in commission of a felony. He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
