HALIFAX CO., Va. (WDBJ7) A charge against a teenager accused of shooting five people earlier this year in Halifax County has been certified to a grand jury.
Malik Cobbs is charged with shooting into an occupied building.
The incident happened April 24 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Halifax County.
A deputy shot Cobbs after investigators say he refused to drop his gun.
The Appomattox County Commonwealth’s Attorney ruled in June that the Halifax County deputy was justified when he shot Cobbs.
