Dog adopted after previous owner passes away

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - A dog named Teddy was adopted Saturday, May 25, just a week after his previous owner passed away, according to Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter, Inc.

The family of the deceased owner was unable to keep Teddy.

The Animal Control Sergeant fostered Teddy and promised the deceased owner’s family that she would find him a new home.

A week later, the sergeant took Teddy to Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter, Inc. to meet his potential new family.

Teddy went home with his new family and home with a soft bed, fenced in yard, and a new doggy sibling, according to Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter.
