Back-to-school eye exams are essential

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - As students get back into the rhythm of back-to-school schedules, we want to make sure they’re able to see properly so they are successful in the classroom.

Here @ Home sat down with Dr. Jacob Likus, O.D. / Optometrist with Vistar Eye Center to address some common questions regarding children’s eyes and eye exams.

Dr. Likus talked about the different signs to watch for in children that might prompt making an appointment, both in infants/toddlers and school age children.

He also addresses the concern over excessive screen time and if it affects children’s eyes.
