WYTHEVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - Tuesdays of Honor takes us to Wytheville, Virginia to highlight a brave veteran with an incredible story!

PFC Estle E. Corvin was laid to rest just this year, 80 years after being killed in action during World War II on Jan. 21, 1944.

The exact circumstances of his loss are unknown.

Since German forces controlled the area after the battle, American troops were unable to recover his body.

But in June 2021, his remains were identified and he is now buried in his hometown but he’s also memorialized on the Walls of the Missing at a cemetery in France.

If you’d like to honor someone who served, submit their information and picture to wdbj7.com.

Tune in next Tuesday another one of our heroes you won’t want to miss!
