RADFORD, Va. (WDBJ) - For the first time since jumping to the NCAA Division I level in 1984, there will be a postseason basketball game in the Dedmon Center.

After finishing second place in the Big South during the regular season to secure the auto bid to the WNIT, the Radford women’s basketball team will host Morehead State on Friday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m.

The postseason match is the first for Radford’s women since being in the NCAA tournament in 2019, while the 22 wins in the ‘25-’26 season are the seventh most in program history.

Hosting a postseason match is just another footnote on an already historic season for Radford women’s basketball. Coach Mike McGuire became the first basketball coach to 200 wins in Radford history back in December.

The postseason appearance is Radford’s 7th WNIT berth, and 11th overall postseason appearance in program history.
