Teen punched in the face while running in SW Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Roanoke Police are investigating an assault on a teenage runner.

Police say shortly after 10 a.m. March 24, 2025, officers responded to the 1800 block of Brandon Ave SW, just northeast of Patrick Henry High School. They were told two teenagers had been on a run when someone approached one of the runners and punched him in the face. The condition of the runner has not been released.

The attacker has not been located and no description has been made available.
