Danville house fire displaces multiple people and one pet

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - Multiple people and one pet were displaced after a house fire Sunday morning, according to the Danville Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at the 160 block of Canterbury Road at 9:21 a.m. on Sunday.

The first units on scene found a two-story home with smoke visible and an exterior fire that was spreading to the enclosed front porch of the home.

The occupants and one pet were safely evacuated.

Officials say the fire was extinguished with minimal damage to the home itself.

The fire was determined to be accidental.
